Breitling A1336313/B960 wrist watches news:
G¨¦rald Genta, designer of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Patek Philippe Nautilus, IWC Ingenieur, Omega Constellation, Cartier Pasha, Bulgari Bulgari, and other icons of the modern era has passed away at age 80. Genta was born to Italian immigrant parents in Geneva in 1931. He launched his career as an independent watch designer in 1961, and in 1968 he designed the Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse. As Lucien Trueb wrote for WatchTime in December, 2006, “A crowning moment came when Audemars Piguet commissioned him to design a sporty stainless steel wristwatch. Genta met for preliminary negotiations with Paul-Louis Audemars… and his son Jaques-Louis…. The elder Monsieur Audemars died before he could see Genta’s design for the Royal Oak, famously drawn in one overnight session in 1970. Genta presented the sketch to Jaques-Louis who was initially aghast: a sporty watch in a steel case was something entirely new for Audemars Piguet.” Though the design was unprecede
I really like the look of the Lance. Does anyone have any actual pictures of one? or a crispin?
I'm a bit behind in my Breitling Updates I've gotten, but released in July was the "new" Seawolf. Still made of titanium, waterproof to 300 bars (10,000 ft) and available with a titanium-gray. black, blue or yellow dial. However, they've made some subtle but vast improvements IMO.Here's a picture of the new version:And a picture of the old version:You'll note the following changes:1) Though hard to tell in the picture, the markers are applied, not painted.2) New lume squares at 6 & 9 with a lume triangle at 123) Steel hands instead of the painted hands on the old one.4) Applied Breitling logo.5) Stenciled markers instead of standard.6) Larger date window 'box'.7) Bezel now marked at the 5 minute marks instead if 15 minute.8) Crown guards are slightly more squared off. There may be a few changes I'm missing..All in all, with the exception of the stenciled markers, I like the changes. The applied markers makes it look like the higher quality watch it is. I'll be very curious to se
I'm new to the Panerai world and doing my reading. While in Las Vegas, I had a chance a while back to try on the 531 GMT. I really like it! A lot! Of course they wouldn't budge an inch on the price. As I look for reviews and opinions on the 531, I feel there is no love for this model 531. What little I read, tells me professional reviewers like it - but opinions here are indifferent, at best? I also notice there isn't much love for steel bracelets (which I also like)on other models, but this I sorta understand. I just don't understand the lack of love for the 531 GMT. Is it just the general look? The movement is good from what I read. Iffy on earlier 9000, but ?I'm also liking the 351, but I'm really curious about the feelings on 531.
Thinking about a Pam 312 as my first Panerai. Any thoughts? My wrist is a little over 6.5 inches. Thanks in advance.
