The Jaquet Droz Only Watch ’09, a unique Grande Seconde, combines a Grand Feu enamelled dial created using an 18th century technique with a case made of 21st century ¡°high tech¡± ceramic. This unique timepiece proudly displays a rare red dial – red being the color of Monaco, the home of Only Watch. Creating the red dial required all the know-how of the most skilled craftsmen. An ivory colored enamel dial needs about ten layers to achieve the right color, and each layer must be fired at 800¡ã. Black requires 15 layers and 15 firings, and blue 19. Red needs 22 layers. Each layer requires a new firing, and each firing creates the risk of breakage, bubbling, or both.Manuel Emch, CEO of Jaquet Droz, says it took the company 6 years to find a way to stabilize the red dial. “It is the first time we have created a completely red enameled dial and, given the complexity, it is probably the last,¡± says Mr. Emch with a smile.Only Watch is an auction held every two years in Monaco.

Hi everyone,I have to admit that I first saw this watch on a "what are you wearing today" thread and was quite impressed with the pic posted.This peaked my curiousity, which led me to check the company website. The reviews seem quite good, but was wondering if any of you out there who own the Ocean 1 could give me your opinion as to the quality finish, accuracy, reliability and any general pros/cons or any quirks you've found?I am thinking of the 42mm automatic version but would like to hear from those with the practical experience before making a final decision.Thanks for your feedback.

Where to source genuine Rolex GMT Master II bezel inserts for 16710
Hi All, I have a 2002 all-black GMT Master II (as pictured). I have recently gotten into diving and would like to a new ceramic Sea Dweller 4000 for vacation and diving duty but thought that it would look too similar to my GMT II. I looked at a few other options including the Omega Planet Ocean Deep Black, Tudor Pelagos or Black Bay, but I still keep coming back to the Sea Dweller 4000 as the perfect diving watch and one that will hold its value. So, I thought that if I could get a Pepsi and/or Coke bezel insert that I could swap out relatively easily, I could pull off the Sea Dweller in the collection. I have seen a few threads here where people have done this fairly easily (at least with a little care and practice). Is there a fairly common place to source these genuine bezel inserts? I see a lot of replicas out on the net but only want genuine parts. I have seen a few threads suggesting that Rolex won't swap out bezel inserts but would they sell you a bezel insert? Any advice w
