TAG Heuer Launches TAG Heuer Connected Smartwatch with Intel & Google
Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer officially threw its hat into the smartwatch ring today with the launch of the TAG Heuer Connected watch ¡ª first announced at this year’s Baselworld ¡ª a revolutionary new timepiece developed in cooperation with Intel Corporation and Google and powered by Android Wear technology.The TAG Heuer Connected Watch was unveiled at a press conference at LVMH Tower (LVMH is the parent company of TAG Heuer), hosted by Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer & President of the LVMH Group’s Watches Division, accompanied by Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel Corporation, and David Singleton, VP of Engineering for Android at Google. Back from London report
Started out at 5:30am in order to catch the Megabus to London at 6am. It was damp & cold, thought to myself, "is this going to be a miserable experience" but as we go closer to London, the skies started to clear. Arrived at Victoria bus station at 9:30am, so proceeded to Victoria Underground, stopping off at Wetherspoons for a farmhouse breakfast and coffee.Caught the tube to Green Park nr Piccadilly and proceeded towards the Burlington Arcade. Saw the Deepsea in the flesh for the first time. here's my thoughts about it. On first glance I thought, "wow what a watch" the writing under the crystal is quite neat and not as prominent as photos might suggest. The thickness of the case is unbelievable. I liked the material used for the bezel insert and also the flush, shaped crystal, plus the Clasp is an engineers dream. The watch does ooze quality. OK, I'll admit it! I'm pumped for the NFL playoffs to start. The Falcons year didn't go quite as planned, but they're in and the '2nd season' is getting started.Of course I'm liking the Falcon's chance in NY this weekend, so I'm excited to see the game. I think it'll be close, but the Falcon's can do it!I'm liking Detroit over New Orleans, regardless of whether it's realistic or not. Hey, any given Sunday, right (or Saturday in this case)? For 2 reasons, first no self-respecting Falcon fan (or Tampa or Carolina fan for that matter) can ever root for the Saints, regardless of the likelihood. But also because I'd love to see the Falcon's and Lions win, sending the Falcons to San Francisco. Because I think they have a better chance there? Nope, because as a SF native I'd love to see that game happen. Trust me, if that game happens I'm on a plane & on my way to SF for the game!
