Say hello the best looking Tissot since the Visodate 1957. This Basel 2011 release has gone completely unnoticed by, well, pretty much everybody and it wasn't until we saw the collection yesterday in New York that it caught our eye.? He was helping me open a new bank account. I noticed it as soon as I walked in the door. It had a TT bracelet and a champagne gold dial. I said quickly before really studying it: "You have great taste in watches". Mine was tucked safely under a shirt cuff.A few seconds later as he filled out the forms, I looked closer TT bracelet? WTF? But it had a cyclops, and a day window. It's a DD, right? Wait a minute, could my bank manager be wearinga "No way!"But it had to be a fake, right? The more I looked at the bracelet it didn't ring any "authentic Rolex bracelet" bells in my mind. I was surprised. Did I make a fool of myself? New Soon-to-Be Collector in Austin TX
Hi everyone - "new" collector-to-be here. After having several Fossil, Armani, and other very pretty I started out thinking I wanted a new Omega Seamaster or used Rolex Submariner. They are both appealing to me, however I wonder do I really have to spend that much to get something I can proudly hand down to my sons one day - I am 43 now.I don't really care about having an expensive watch - I just want a good automatic movement in a package that will last - with a look that appeals to me.Can this be had in a $750-$1500 watch?So far, I THINK I want a SW500 or ETA 7750 movement based on reputation - though to be honest the date is the only complication I really want - the chronometer would never be used.I want to start with a sport watch for now - maybe get a dress watch later. Royal Oak Clasp Issue
Hey, first post in this section. I was listing my RO Chrono for sale a few weeks ago (I've since decided to keep it, due to selling some other stuff). And while taking photos, I noticed that the clasp was a bit looser than it should be. The same exact same thing happened to me with a Hublot Big bang a few weeks prior to that, and Hublot fixed it even though the warranty period had expired. The Hublot issue was functionally nearly identical to this issue. If I had to guess, I'd say the spring on one side came loose. So I took the ROC to the AP boutique in NYC to check it out- I was told it is safe to wear, and not to fix it until the watch needs a service. While I understand that this may be true, I do like my stuff to be perfect. Can anybody recommend something that will fix this, short of sending it back for an 18 week (what the boutique quoted me) service?Photos are below- I made it look a little worse in the photos by pushing down the clasp locking piece for illustrative purposes.
