You guys ever find it funny how you have a certain watch that might not be worth a lot but it gets the most compliments? For me, it's a chunky Nixon watch. I usually wear it more in the summertime as a beater, but everywhere I go people say, "I love your watch, great watch!" ¡ª it gets many more compliments than my nicer watches.Do you guys have any inexpensive watches that garner a surprising amount of compliments? What are some of them?

I do not really know where to post this, if this is in the wrong area, im sorry, can you please move it to the right one.I think this concerns all watchlovers and people who buy watches on the internet, so that why i have decided to share this.If anyone has a clue what i have to do with this watch to make it wearable, please let me know. Any help is welcome!I had a really bad experience buying from Neil Worboys, also known as 'flame' on several watch forums. He had an Omega Seamaster 300 big triangle watch for sale. He told me the watch is very good looking and showed me pictures to back it up. The hour markers are relumed on the watch, but it was not visible and done in a good manner according to him. This was one of the pictures he send me. The other ones he send me just looked as good as this one.Pretty good looking right? I do not really mind if the dial is relumed or not, as long as the watch looks good, so I paid him 3000 dollar for the watch.I received the watch alright, but it

Looking for some advice for a new watch purchase.I'm a big fan of Indiglo-type watches, either those that already have some lighting built-in (e.g. Luminox) or something that has a button to activate (Indiglo, Fossil Blue Chrono, etc.)I was wondering what watches in the $300ish range are good to look at. I prefer two tone watches with sportiness (e.g. my last watch was a Fossil AM-3708 pictured here: i.ebayimg/00/s/MTAyNFg3Njg=/z/eKMAAOSwjVVVv8J6/$_1.JPG ).Any specific brands the regulars here would recommend? I've been reading reviews and watching videos on the many Panerai models.I'm focused on a base model, hour-minute only, with the sandwich dial. The 560 keeps popping up as fitting my criteria. I have a 7 wrist and don't want a watch the looks like a strapped on pocket watch.I current wear Rolex, DayDate, DateJust, and GMT II.I'd appreciate seeing opinions on the 560 vs other base models.
