Cartier w1008554 wrist watches news:
from MArtin Wilmsen. Thanks for sharing Martin. Some playful water splash.....Thanks for looking...Have a great day.
It is case number 5531, which according the 1954 catalogue is the Spencer.I've had the watch and band for a while, but it originally came in a lot with a horrible dial and a non-working movement. In a more recent lot, I received two "less horrible" dials, once with another case (which is in so so shape) and a working 671 with another Elgin 19 dial. What is interesting is the band/case symmetry. Without seeing any adds, I can't be 100% sure, but I'm pretty certain this is the original Hadley bracelet that shipped with the watch. The band's contours flow perfectly into that of the case, and in fact, the last links cover the lugs .The band and case shined up nicely and there is not brassing on either. I salvage the crystal from the other case and worked on it for almost an hour. It still isn't perfect, but it has a neat magnification effect on the dial.As I noted, the dial I used, is the least "bad" of the bunch. I think I'll send one of the others off to ID at some point. Hello Everyone,I have a Khaki King II Auto in black with a black leather Di-modell band with white stitching that I purchased in December 2004. I am interested in selling it and do not know what it would possibly be worth. I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas? I purchased it at an authorized Hamilton dealer here in Albuquerque, NM. The same dealer did a full-service for me in September 2006 and did a check-up for me in December 2008. I have kept it in great condition and store it in a polishing cloth when I am not wearing it. It has a few minor nicks on the bezel but nothing major. The sapphire crystal is spotless (of course).Any ideas? I paid $325 for it and now they are charging close to $500 for them.Thank you!
I've been wanting to add an ECO-Drive type watch to my collection. This one caught my eye a while back, and santa brought money and gift cards this year, so to use a worn out phrase YOLO! I looked all weekend for this watch in local stores and none had it for me check out. I couldn't wait, and ordered one tonight when I got home. So merry Christmas and happy new year to me! LOL. I've read a lot of reviews on this watch and cant wait to get it on my wrist. Just some stock picks for now, expecting it this Friday.
Hey guys, you were so helpful for me (and others!) in my Aquanaut decision (painfully waiting for my 5167 to get in) --- I'd like to solicit feedback on a few Nautilus models I am considering. While I'm not sure I'm ready to buy today, I'm trying to figure out if I want the: 5711/1A or the 5726/1A.Yes, it's a different price point - but I'm struggling with this. You are the experts - I'd love to hear your thoughts. Also, I think the 5726 is thicker than the 5711 - is it negligible? Thanks again!
