Breitling Beige Dial wrist watches news:
Finally got that new Elgin today!I'm pretty happy with it, it runs fine so far, the face is clean, as all the parts and the gold fill looks to be in excellent shape, no wear spots around it!BUT, the new 'crystal' is plastic, bleh! And it's not even being held in by anything but the movement itself, no glue. At least the band is new and actual leather. It doesn't really matter, i guess. The watch functions fine.Anyway, pictures!I'm not gona tell you all what I paid for it, I want you to guess
Well the wait was shorter than expected...Today I received three very good news :DSeiko AtlasSwatch YRG400Swatch YRS406GThe last Swatch is one that I was searching for a looong time, and never had the chance to win an auction on it , but finally got it These are my only two Swatches, I always found that their designs (generally speaking of the brand) was too youth, and as I'm becoming older every day I have to stay in the more "serious" designsI love the Seiko Atlas, very sturdy, heavy and solid, pity that the compass function just works in the northern hemisphere (according to the user's manual), next purchase: SEIKO MONSTER
I received this on Wednesday and have now worn it 3 days in a row. This was an OTV and came with a free alligator strap, a free winder, and free Wristwatch Annual 2007.I always wanted a watch with the "President" style day accross the top and something with a brown dial. Bingo! So far (2 full days since I set it with my atomic watch) it is still right on the second. I hope it doesn't "break-in". The ETA 2834-2 movement is not only accurate but smoooothe too.Fit and finish are top notch. The bracelet needed a little bit of working-in but looks great and the push-button dual deployant works well.At 42mm it's an ideal size for me and I'm liking it more and more.Let's see your SWIs.
Greetings All,I have a question regarding a Vulcain Cricket (Grand Prix Movement - 17 Jewel Manual Wind Alarm - center second hand). The watch works and holds time but it I hold the watch in the 12 O'Clock up position (it happens in every position exept the Dial Up/Dial Down Position), the second hand will begin to skip (not move smoothly and sometimes stop and then jump a few seconds) after the second hand passes the 2 O'Clock position. This stopping/jumping keeps going on until the seond hand passes the 6 O'Clock position - after that it will move smoothly.I heard this is a problem that occurs in many other watches, but I've not read what is the cause of this. I'm assuming that this something minor since the watch never stops running on a full wind.Any watchmakers out there know what this is a symptom off or what the fix could be?Any comments are welcome.Regards,J-PAll the while, the watch never stops functioning - and this stumpl
Since both are basically the same watch (almost), what would you choose ?
