Hummm.. So my Omega collection was back to zero less than 3 months ago after I'd traded my Planet Ocean for another watch. Though I really enjoy the new watch & don't regret the swap, I'll admit to missing the PO some days...However, my collection being Omega-less lasted all of about 5 days as I promptly added a De Ville Prestige small second hand in rose gold. Still really liking that one, though it's getting a lot less wear now that the weather has turned hot (I don't like leather bands in the heat).Well, the Omega collection now goes up by one, so the De Ville will have a big brother to keep it company.. Another Omega is in the House!!!!! And I'm liking it!!!

This watch has been handed down in the family and I'm interested in any infomation anyone may have. I know that Hamilton picked up production of Illinois in 1927 but that's about all the info I have. What sort of quality can $1500 buy?
Now I'm very curious. This is my budget for the next gift to myself. It can be new or used, and it can be any style (I haven't decided yet). I would like to see photos. I might spend as much as $1700, but that is it. I want to see how close I can come to Rolex type quality. It can't be quartz and it can't be black DLC or PVD - I have one. A nicely polished SS case is a plus. I think 40-43 would be a nice change for me (but it doesn't have to be round).Debaufre, Frederique Constant and Lum-Tec have been mentioned, so I will include those first. Post em if you gots em.

AP In House Chrono
Hello all, been super busy, so excuse me if we've discussed this previously.Has there been any talk of AP releasing their own chrono movement (other than simple forum chatter)? With so many other companies shying away from utilizing anything other than 'in house', it seems AP would follow suit. I'm very curious if this is a possibility in the next year or two as I'm strongly considering a 15400 purchase. However, I would actually prefer a 42mm ROO if they changed to in house movements. Call me snobby, but I just dislike the idea of dropping so much $ on a watch without in house.Thoughts?
