Am trying to research a Longines watch I have and have some general questions about Longines. Possibly the last white dial 5980 in captivity, just got it in this morning (thankfully ahead of the Harvey, was worried it might be stuck at the post office for a week here in Houston!). First Patek and absolutely love it! Thanks to Tom (tomalf123) who sourced it, never thought I'd find one new from an AD but shouldn't have underestimated the forums! I know the white dial isn't to everyone's taste but I love it, clean and easy to read and the matching subdial color is perfect to my eye. As I understand it, the vertical clutch should alleviate the wear issues associated with keeping the chrono engaged, anyone have any issues with that on this model at all? I just like a running seconds hand.On to pics, still need a resize but probably going to wait out the storm, still in shock that I am an official Patek owner, thanks to all for the help and enabling

Vintage Patek Care
Greetings. First post be kind. Photo is of my grandfather's Patek that was given to me as a gift prior to my wedding. The watch was serviced and I wore it only once on my wedding day. Since that magic day, the watch has been sitting in a safety deposit box for twenty years. My question is can I wind the watch now without doing damage? Should I service the watch first? I have lately developed the watch bug and I would like to wear the Patek maybe a couple times a year. Hesitant to do an expensive service for such limited use. Any information the forum can provide about the watch is much appreciated. Thanks

Black dial sky dweller
Curious if the new sky dweller black is the same chocolatey color the DJ 41s are? I much prefer the more jet black . Already have the blue sky dweller and cannot decide between the white or the black. I¡¯m leaning towards the black since I already have a DJ two white dial.
