Longines L2.798.4.72.6 wrist watches news:
First, see the official statement/announcement that has recently been released, then read my comments below it:"The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie and the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry are joining forces to launch an international anti-counterfeiting campaign. Their objective is to inform the public on the damage caused by this global scourge. In spite of the many efforts made, the problem of counterfeiting and piracy continues to wreak havoc on virtually every economy worldwide, and is expanding rapidly through multiple distribution channels, especially online.Astronomical amountsCalculations based on Customs seizures show that counterfeits and piracy worldwide amount to US$ 200 billion to 360 billion a year, or 5% to 7% of international trade. Swiss watches are no exception, as the sector is hit full-on by this modern-day plague. The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FHS) estimates that over 40 million fake Swiss watches are made each year (compared with exports of alm
Went to my local dealer inquiring about the ROO Panda where I was told it is no longer available. AP Website still has the watch shown. So I'm confused Is it available or discontinued ?
Anywone experienced this before?? i tried to remove the watch bands links/ pins or screw tubes (whatever you want to call) to switch to a set of aftermarket leather straps i bought recently, but then one of the links was really tight to get it off, & when i finally got that out, i realized that the threads came out with it; so i called the dealer where i bought the watch from yesterday, & the sales told me that AP will not cover this under warranty because clients are not suppose to repair/ service their own watches, only auth. service center from AP can! so my questions is, does it happen often? does anyone know ap install the watch bands tubes with loctite or some sort of glues to secure the thread for backing out?& since they told me i cannot get my 2 weeks old diver warranty under this issue, which means i have to buy a set of new tubes from them, does anyone know how much it will cost? & do i have to buy the whole new set of plots as well? also i have small wrists,
This is new to me, saw this cool moonphase watch though. In real life, how is manual winding different from an automatic? Does this mean, this sounds sorta dumb maybe, that if you wear the watch all the time you still have to wind it about ever 2 days? Thanks.
Fellow Pelagos owners,Did you receive a extension piece when you bought your Pelagos? I just bought a Pelagos from an AD and I was only given two pieces for the rubber strap. I am missing the extension piece on the left as shown in the below picture:My question is, should that piece have been included? My AD tells me that recent Pelagos they have sold only have the 2 pieces on the right, without the extension strap. Is it an optional piece, or did Tudor stop including it with new Pelagos models?
