Breitling B11046 wrist watches news:
I'm still a bit in awe ever since I found this watch this afternoon in one of my customer's "bargain bin" (the watches he didn't really want to keep in his collection). He asked for a trivial amount of money, which I promptly handed over without questioning OR opening the watch. Only after did I come to find out nifty little details such as the original crystal and practically un-touched/blemished movement. The case is 20 microns gold plated and has some minor wear through around the lug edges, but that's thankfully it. I really hope I manage to keep this in my collection, because of about 20-30 of these that I've come across, this is the only one in what I consider to be 90%+ vintage condition. Glad to see at least some owners failed to "wear" their very "wearable" omegas!Hope you enjoy the photos!and a quick wrist shot!
Omega?Let me explain...this coincides with numerous posts about the thickness and comfort of the PO.I have a 42mm PO 8500 and have very strong feelings about it.First....it is way too thick. It does not have any satisfactory adjustment for the band and angers me almost every day.It is stunning to look at and the movement is awesome. But I cannot make it fit properly and comfortably.Taking it on and off constantly and/or not wearing it because of this is maddening. In fact I have barely worn it over the year I've owned it because of this.So what do I do? The Rolex Sub C or Datejust ii fit beautifully. However, the PO has essentially become a joke in terms of resale. It appears the only realistic option without opening the wallet and take a huge loss is to buy a 20 year old Explorer II. Omega is so close to catching Rolex in terms of movements and design....but without comfor what do you have?Just my 2 cents.
Im stoked! Currently wearing a black GMTII and looking for something larger for weekend and evening out wear. And diving of course! 6 people on the list ahead of me, but I doubt all will buy. Expecting about a year wait.
After about a month I am still loving my black EXP II. Heading into the holiday week with it. To me it really speaks to the toolish luxury aspect of the brand, and every time I look at it it¡¯s a breath of fresh air against the current craziness around the hotter SS models. Favorite Rolex so far.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It seems like a lot of SD43 incomings are in the uk....doesnt seem that hard at moment to source and ive noticed grey prices falling...do you think rolex have just sent a batch to uk and itll dry up again and grey prices rise.....I remember this happening with the sd 4000...initially on ebay well over then couldnt give them away now look at the price of them
