Breitling 1190 wrist watches news:
Back in October, I purchased this Gruen triple date, which was described as serviced, as having a pristine dial, and all functions working. I paid a pretty penny for it.When I got it, the dial was scratched up and the date functions didn't work. I sent it off to my watch guy, who determined that several parts were stripped and he couldn't source any replacements. From there, it was sent back to the seller. They kept me up to date, but finally today, they emailed me and said they couldn't find the parts needed to fix the movement. So they are refunding my purchase price.Overall, they were very nice people, who responded quickly, seemed concerned, and tried to put the watch in working condition. While I really wanted to get this watch in working order, getting a full refund is probably the next best thing. And, as a business, how you fix a mistake shows your true character. In this case, I think they came through with flying colors.
So I went to omega today to change my strap on my watch and the sales man that sold me my watch brought out some new watches for me to try on and he mention the the blue dial speedmaster 57 is hard to come by. Is that true? And I also snapped some photos and was wondering what do you guys think looks good on me.Attachment 450718image.jpgimage.jpg
Hello;I am liking the Alaska Project Speedmasters that I have been seeing. But as a Rolex guy I don't have a lot of Omega knowledge. Can someone point me to some place that has a good write up on the history of the Speedmaster and how the models have evolved to today? I've searched and searched but so far haven't been very successful.Thank you very much!
If I buy a Seamaster Professional 300m, with the blue wavy dial and matching blue bezel, what would it cost approximately to have the dial and bezel changed to black? Is this possible? (and do I get to keep the old parts)I like the watch a lot, but feel the blue is a bit bright.
Just watched a video comparing omega seas master to a submariner. The AR coating on the Seamaster is amazing. Why does Rolex not wanna implement this?
