Well, we had a rash of SMP's for a few months and now it looks like we're turning the corner into Speedmaster season. We sure have had a lot of new Omega owners this year so far - how about a quick shot of any of your new additions since January 1st, accompanied by a line or two about why you chose it? It can be modern or vintage! Here's my biggest Omega addition this year so far - a 1959 18K Seamaster with a 591 automatic:I was looking for one of these for a few months, and finally came across a few options with a little help from G.J. (yes, it's okay to ask your fellow collectors for help when you need it!) I had seen several, but finding one in all original condition and at a fair price was another story. It's become a regular part of my rotation now, replacing an Open Heart 18K Maurice LaCroix that was just a smidge too big as a dress watch. I hope to join the 1120 club within the next few months also.
OK I had a few too many tonight...well not really but I got bored and thought this would be as my wife says "stupid" picture of a watch and trophy...its not a first place trophy, but the wife is So since I've never started a thread on a theme here it is..."weird watch pics" or maybe "you & your watch in action"...or "today my watch and I went to the ..."?I always kinda liked those pics that had the watch and something else other than a hairy wrist to look at
track down? I have been posting in all the forums that I would like to buy this watch but to no avail. Were they a limited production or do the owners just not want to sell them?
Anybody noticed recently (I¡¯m in the UK) how the black dial Daytona 116520 seems to have a higher asking price than the white dial? Watchfinder for example commanding ¡ê1500 more for black dial. I¡¯m led to believe this is because the DaytonaC preference is a white dial, therefore leaving the black dial preference in 116520.PS I have a white dial 116520
