- Good looking and seems to be fairly rugged. Don't think I'd rely on the compass for detailed orienteering, but its a nice reference and seems to be reasonably accurate. Easy to use and find funcitons

- The watch was very pretty, however there was a crystal missing on the face which was very noticeable. I would definitely buy a piece of her jewelery again.

Breitling cb014012/a723-1rd wrist watches news:
WTF,I received a high grade Elgin movement today in the mail with a very odd serial number, 17596310. The Elgin database states that this is size 0s, grade 354, manufactured in 1913, with 15 jewels. Well, the database is wrong. It is in fact a size 3/0s not size 0s. Elgin did not start manufacturing size 3/0s until 1914 but all serial numbers for size 3/0s should have a serial number higher than 18,000,000. I own a few of the very first size 3/0s Elgins, they made about 2,000,000 of them. I have triple checked my numbers and all available resources for this strange serial number. I have even double checked the movement size with a micrometer, 27.94mm to be exact. All 3 places were the serial number is located on an Elgin reads 17596310, so all parts are the originals. So, where would be the next step to verify the grade and age of a serial number that is not suppose to exhist on a size 3/0s Elgin? Thanks in advance!
Fellow Patek enthusiasts,I'd like to hear your thoughts on a first Patek. While I'd love a 5711 in steel, we all know the premium is just too high right now on the 2nd market. I'm OK building a relationship and growing my Patek collection over time. I'm current loving my BLNR and have on rotation a 116520, a 116400GV, a IW3799-01, and a IW3905-02.Let me know what you guys think!
WARNING...This is what happens when you spend too much free time on TRF....But you guys already knew this would happen right?Puffy, Dan and Paul... you guys with your wonderful photos and post enabled me... so terrible...But seriously... I am really loving this beautiful watch... super comfortable fit... love the Rubber Strap... And the Lume is out of this world! Please enjoy the photo's...
I just got my new 510, replacing a 112 I lost. In this 1st week it was off 10 minutes +/-.I have read there can be accuracy issues with the p5000 movement.I've also read new watches may need to run for a few months before accuracy can be assessed. This true?I got the 510 last Friday so haven't hit 8 days yet. Nor have I properly monitored how/when the big chunk of inaccuracy came from ie. start of the 8 day cycle, mid point or towards the end - what's typical?I'll start watching how it performs more closely. Love the watch though, more than my 112 (which was as accurate as my Rolex Sub).Either way, great to be back in the club. Was without for 4 months until I could source a replacement - Jomashop as NZ stock is minimal with only one dealer in NZ.DannyBoy.
Can someone explain the difference between the Luminor and the Luminor 1950.For an amateur's eye they look the same.
