Breitling AB0110 wrist watches news:
This question is sort of along the lines of the "how to clean a jubilee band" thread. How do you all clean/polish the crystal on your Rolexes in your daily/weekly/whenever, maintenance? I use Meguiars plastic polish on a microfiber cloth. It does a decent job. It wont remove deep scratches but takes care of the little stuff pretty nicely. On a side note, when I first got my Submariner years ago I knew a guy who wore a GMT, and he told me when he was serving in Vietnam they used to tear the filter off of a new cigarette and use the end of it dipped in toothpaste and polish their crystals. I tried it a few times with pretty good results.
Gentlemen,at first, a small intro as this is my first post!I'm 28 years old, self employed , living in Amsterdam, Netherlands.I own a Speedmaster , that I love dearly, but since a day or two , it seems to fail on me.The time indication was off a couple of hours since wednesday, but I hadn't worn it two days so I expected it was running low on power.Reset it to correct time, but now I hear some strange noises , probably coming from the 'swinging' section in the watch. I have a Seiko Kinetic aswell and that was louder in the 'kinetic' department, the Omega was very quiet when shaking it around or hearing it spin. Now, its much more audible.Watch runs perfectly now, date, stopwatch etc all work perfectly, its just that the spinning noise has increased a lot.Can anyone help me? Will look up the exact specification of the watch, am at office now and have the documents at home. many thanksW
Just picked up this Elgin. It's my first. Up to now have only acquired Hamiltons and a few Benrus'. But this forum has got me interested in other American watch brands of the Art Deco period.I liked the enamel bezel of this watch and the simple dial with a "waffle" type texture. Movement is a 556. I don't know anything about Elgin movements. Anyone have any info. on this watch or movement? I think its from the late 40's but not sure. thanksMark
Got a new G-Shock yesterday. I had a Casio with altimeter/Barometer a long time ago, and this one just reminded me of how neat some of these watches were. I just wore it today on a nice 18 mile bike ride and it's perfect, especially because it started to rain Model: GW500A-1VI took a few pics...who doesn't like eye candy around here?
Hey all,Just wondering if any PP owners wear theirs for everyday use? Ie: work, gym, etc...Thanks for reading, Hans.
