The original band was leather and broke. This one is material and water of. Looks great and I think it will last more than one ski and wind surf season. The only thing I miss is the SUUNTO name on the band, no deal.

Is the Khaki Navy GMT a swiss made watch? and some considerations about it...
I know I have asked for info of this model not long ago, but here I go again: I want to buy one and I'm in the process of researching everything about this model, by the way, I haven't found much info about it, just a couple of reviews given to me by you guys. I have noticed that even though the Khaki Navy has the "swiss made" words on the dial, the Khaki Navy GMT model doesn't, it only has a number (330) below the six-o'clock marker. Why does that happens and is this model made in Switzerland as well?Please, if you have more info, reviews and pics that you'd like to share, they'll be welcome. I would like to read the pros and cons about this model, and user experiences. See the prices are slowly coming down. Sotheby's auction at the price at around $130 000 including buyers premium in April 2015 and Aniquorum just sold in December for just under $100 000. Not sure what the sellers premiums are but I guess the sellers would clear around $72 000. That's roughly a 50% flip! Come on PP make us a non 175 Anniversary in 5575 so us mere mortals have a chance of wearing one!

Was it easier to buy Rolex sports model back in 70s to 90s?
Just wondering was it difficult to buy a sports model e.g sub, gmt, Daytona etc back in the 70s to 90s period as compared to now? As many of us know (and get frustrated), it's quite difficult to just walk in into any AD now and buy a SubC due to stocks 'shortage'.
