- Beautiful watch. Appears very well made. I have only had the watch for a little less than a week and it is keeping perfect time. The dial is well marked and easy to read. Good solid feel to the watch. I am looking forward to not having to replace a battery every year now.

So I bought a spring bar tool thinking that changing straps would be like changing outfits, but it took me about 10 minutes to remove the strap from my watch. Whenever I'd catch the edge of the spring bar with the tool and tilt the tool toward the band, it'd slip right off the edge of it. The more I'd do this, the more the watch strap would stretch; at this point, angling the tool didn't seem to the trick. I actually had to apply pressure and move the tool directly to the left to release the spring bar. And this wasn't easy: the tool kept slipping off the edge of the spring bar.Anyway, I didn't imagine it'd be this difficult to remove straps, and now I'm really nervous to do it again. (I planned to change straps for different occasions. E.g., I'll wear a NATO strap for casual events, and a leather strap for more formal stuff.) I'm afraid I'll scratch up my watchand I plan to keep this watch for years to come, so I want to keep it in good shape.Am I doing something wrong? Does it get ea
Hi Folks, Omega have set up a special showcase store in the lobby of the hotel Vancouver. I was in there today for a meeting and had a few minutes to kill, the have one of Omega's watchmakes on site giving demonstrations and a great many working movements are housed in perspex cases for one to look at in detail! They also have some very special Omega's which I have not seen here before. A beautiful Pocket watch, a rose gold central Turbillion (the watchmaker present is the one who built that actual model!) a platinum speedmaster as well as some of the new connies.Well worth a look in! Boy oh boy if I had $130,000 that Turbillion would be on my wrist, can't tell you how cool it is to actually meet the person who made it!

Guys I need some help please, can those of you who own the reference 5070 (mainly G and R) do me a favor? I'm curious what booklets came with the watch. I know there's a specific 5070 booklet which is thin, but I'm wondering if there was an additional booklet titled manual winding movements which lists the CH27-70 movement or not. I would love to see pics of what you have.Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
