Invicta 21927 wrist watches news:
After some years of development De GRISOGONO released a fantastic new caliber in a polarizing new timepiece with a name I can barely pronounce. Try saying "Otturatore" a few times really fast. I am sure that means something sexually satisfying in Italian, but this is a Swiss brand through and through. De GRISOGONO is a rare band in the US, but one that has a lot of cool and complex pieces. While a lot of brands like to call themselves "avant garde, " I have to say that De GRISOGONO actually is.What makes me sad is how expensive this watch is. It is about 69,100 - 71,100 Swiss Francs depending on the style. It doesn't need to be that expensive, even though the brand did put a lot of work in to the movement development. Offer a steel-cased version for $20,000 and then at least you have my attention more. Much of that 85,000 Swiss Franc amount is going to be justified in the chunky 18k rose or white gold case - that surely uses a lot of metal. The quizzical case is about 45mm wide and abo
With an influx of so many new fans of Hamilton watches, perhaps it is a good time to get to know each other a little better, what do you do for a living, family details, and of course PIX?I'll start. I am honored to be the co-founder and co-moderator of the Hamilton Forum of WTF as of January 1, 2008.I have been interested in watches for many, many years but have become a collector in earnest for about two years. I started with Invicta and at one time owned almost 30 Invicta watches. I am down to about 7 right now.I am a college professor teaching Cinema and Screen Studies and have been standing in front of classrooms for 31 years now. I am married with two adult sons and my dear wife of 31+ years is starting to understand my obsession with horology. Here is a pic of my family at my younger son's college graduation several years ago. I am in the middle wearing the blue windbreaker.
Hi allTried this on today and am very impressed. The dial is unbelievable - photos don't do it justice. I just loved everything about it, 37mm size, date, polished/brushed steel case and a very nice bracelet with solid deployment clasp. Anybody have any comments with regards to movement - is it reliable?Cheers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I just took a couple lume shots. Long exposures aren't done very well on my point and shoot, but you get the idea. I love the blue and green lume. Both of my Omegas had better lume than my GMTIIC.Once my other Omega stuff comes in, I will either dig out one of my better cameras (Hasselblad or Mamiya, both with digital backs) and get some better shots for all to see.Rob.
