I picked up my first Omega at the fleamarket for a measly $30 and it runs, I am very impressed with the movement quality. I had planned on flipping this one, but I will be keeping it for my collection. I have looked up the case # 166.0209 link to omega Are there any service manuals for the 1020 movement out on the ? my crown is stripped out, and the watch is not wearable at the moment until I get a replacement from the bay. I like to do my own work on watches, I can probably handle the crown replacement myself, that is after I find one. does anyone know what the crown thread size is for the 1020 movement? G'day everyone. I couldn't find very much info about this reference, hence am just wondering if anyone has experience owning one for a while ? I have a chance to buy a blue-dialled one which comes with everything in the box. It's a used 2008 watch and looks in pristine condition and everything works fine.It's AP's first RO chrono though with a Piguet movement and I'm just if there's anything I should be concerned about.

My dads birthday is in October and I want to buy him a Patek. The only thing is he doesnt like to where bulky watches or watches in gerneral. Well, it's only a matter of time before the venerable 6497 is retired and replaced by the P.3000 in-house movement (or something like it). It's still too early to tell what impact it'll have on the desirability of the old 6497 based watches but would you still want an old 6497 driven PAM vs a newer model?
