When last we took a look at Raven Watches, they had just released two interesting models; the Raven Vintage and the Raven Deep. The Vintage was an homage to the Rolex Submariner ref. 6538, famously worn by Sean Connery as James Bond in Dr. No, that utilized a domed acrylic crystal, gilt hands and other specific details to make for a very fun watch. The Raven Deep took elements of various historical models, such as the 6538 and the 5517 mil-sub, and mixed them together to create a cool chimera with a high water resistance at 4000ft or 1220m. Hi, I joined this forum hoping I could get a few watches identified (sorry if you're seeing this twice- I wasn't sure if this was the same as the other forum I posted in).I've searched the internet looking at thousands of watches trying to figure out what watch this is, but I haven't even been able to figure out who makes it. Looking for Nice Leather Strap Watch
Hi Guys,I am on the hunt for a nice leather strapped watch. I have two steel ones, Citizen and Invicta that I both love, but I want something a little different next.The top of my price range for right now is about $500, however, if I find something thats a little more expensive that I love I have no problem waiting a while to get it. As for what I'm looking for, I would want a watch that has a case diameter of greater than 40mm, and has a chronograph feature, or some other feature so it doesn't look too "fancy". I'm not looking for a dress watch, but something that would look good with both work boots and dress shoes and everything inbetween. I really like the Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Watch #BL5250-02L but I also want to see what else is out there before I make my decision. Swiss would be a plus :).As of right now, my favorite leather strap watch is the Sinn 6100 Regulateur, but I have to wait for a while for that one.So guys, any suggestions?-Pete

Same question I had on Watchtech but no replies yet , you may wiil.Is it possible to identify the hand finishing vs machine made polish on watchcases ?basically the final polishing done by hand at all manufacturers or just in the high end segment?May you can tell what to look for to judge properly ,in my book hand finishig allows tiny misperfections however most high end pieces i ve handled seems to be perfect except under 10x magnification i ve seen small how to call ¡°misalignment¡±i wouldn t call those a flaws rather the human touch, but it was mostly on the case ,on the movement even under high magnification for me hard to find the difference.Cld you pls comment, thanks
