- This is a good sturdy watch built to stand up to a 20 year old who spends his days either in a commercial kitchen or the Blue Ridge mountains. It appealed to his outdoorsy casual style.

Breitling AB0120-011 wrist watches news:
Does anyone know what, if any, Hamilton models used the Swiss ETA or Certina 665 or 664 automatic movements? From a prior thread on this forum, I read that these are fully jeweled automatic movements, and more likely to have withstood the rigers of use.I'm interested in collecting Hamilton automatic, Thin-O-Matic, and Thin-Line models from the '60's. But I'm concerned about buying a vintage automatic Hamilton that has a problem with the movement.I realize that the most important thing about buying a vintage watch with a reliable movement is assuring the movement has been properly and consistently maintained over the years. But when buying a 40 year old vintage watch, I find it's nearly impossible to know how well the movement has been maintained over the years.thanks
A nice present to myself...Looking forward to reading through this over the Holidays. Cheers! P.S. When there is no watch budget, what better way to scratch the WIS itch than to read and learn more about it.
I'm entertaining an idea involving a non-Patek sports watch as a daily and especially weekender watch, and (here's where your opinion comes in) a special occasion/occasional office wear Calatrava.I would wear the Calatrava every week at least a day or two or three. But I can't decide between a dressier looking, manual wind, no date, sub-seconds watch? or an automatic, sweep second, date window model? Thoughts please?
This is an inauspicious start to forum life. Hello, I've disassembled the glidelock on my 114060 as I'm a serial tinkerer and I can't for the life of me find how to put it back together. Two little plastic runners came off the glidelock's spring bar at a rapid rate of knots and don't fancy helping me out, any help from you kind, seasoned, eye rolling people?
HI new here, I am looking for an additional link for a 14060M submariner.Wheres the best place to track one down?Cheers
