Breitling 8806 wrist watches news:
I'm still very new to collecting watches and although I've grown to respect and appreciate the few pieces I have some need servicing. What can I expect to pay for:1. A Cleaning2. Repair of a non-working watch3. Adjusting the handsHere's a list of watches I need serviced:a. Bulova Excellency - works, needs cleaning and crystal has marks & scratches.b. Benrus - I'm just taking it in for more info, don't know exactly what kind of Benrus watch it is.c. Hamilton Tonneau - Hands don't align, face has wear/staining, may need mechanical work as it winds, but doesn't run.d. Swatch - Battery Cover broke off, need a replacement cover.I'm in NJ. I don't trust myself to do it and really don't have the skill to clean it yet. After I receive some replies I'll go to a couple of places and will let you guys know what some quotes I received are.
How many winds does it take to achieve full power reserve from when the movement has come to a full stop?I'm trying to determine if I have an issue before I send it to AP for warrenty service. Thanks in advance. Cheers
Guys,I'm trying to decide between this 2. I understand 1005 is newer but it looks kinda the same in the picture and so is the movement. Which one will be best to choose and will have a higher resale value? I appreciate any feedback and tia..-j
While at work, I decided to pop into Rolex Canada head office today on the spur of the moment to get my YM2 bracelet ultrasonically cleaned. As I recently purchased the SD43, I'm getting ready to put the YM2 away for a bit while I wear my new toy so I wanted to get the bracelet cleaned properly before boxing it.As it was spur of the moment, I forgot my warrantee card at home. On other occasions that I have gone over to Rolex Canada, I've always prepared by bringing the card along with me.I called from work first before going to see if they could squeeze me in. No problem was the answer. Come on in! So I went in during my lunch hour. It's been about 3 years since I last visited Rolex Canada and let me say, things change every time I go. My very first visit to Rolex Canada back in 2007, I just walked through their unlocked front door to an elevator and went up to the 2nd floor. The next time I went to RC in 2012, they knocked one of the walls down in the main lobby and put in a se
This sum of cash, whilst not insignificant, cuts out all the PM pieces. Include old or new, fat and slim. At the moment I am umming and ahhhhing (a lot of ahhhiiin) between 16710 pepsi or coke ($10,500 in good nick), GMT2 LN, GMT BLNR, Hulk and the IWC Pilot Mark XVIII. Let me know. For wearing and owning forever, not for reselling later. You'll only make money on watches through luck, or by being Paul Newman.PS I already own a Submariner 16610.
