Hope this is the correct place for this postI have owned a Wakmann Chrono for almost 50 years. It is a 2 dial (blue) gold plated case with florescent orange sweep second hand for the stop watch function. I had it serviced about 5 years ago and it has sat in my safe since. Took it out to use it for a function I attended and find the crown was replaced with one much smaller in diameter than the original so it makes it hard to wind. Also, the stem seems stiff to pull out to set the time and the stop watch function plungers seem stiff also. I was told it was a Breitling movement as it has WOG stamped on the inside.I am going to presume the crown can be replaced with a larger one and the stiffness can be corrected. Am I correct in my assumptions? Thanks for any reply
Any reviews for Rado R3092715- Official Rado Store US - Rado Centrix 115.0927.3.015I am looking to buy a watch for around $ 1000 and was considering this. Grateful for any reviews or suggestions. Thanks!
Greetings.I posted this over on the Bulova forum but it might be more appropriate for the Beginner's Watch Forum so I'm reposting it here...I am new to the watch hobby and have been reading and researching for several weeks now. I am having two old watches serviced that my Dad left me over 20 years ago. One is his WWII Hamilton and the other is a 1965 Bulova Commander.I recently bought a Bulova off of eBay in what might have been a moment of poor judgement (sigh).. Luckily, I didn't pay an awful lot. From research I've done, it appears to be a 1959 (L9) Sea King with a totally wrong replacement dial. The case, movement, hands, and crystal all appear to be correct and in good shape though. What are my options for getting a correct dial on it? Do I have to find an original replacement dial or can a reproduction be made? Is a picture of the correct dial adequate to work with?I found a picture on eBay of what I believe the correct dial looks like (on right). I've also posted a picture of th
