- Although I was expecting yellow gold trim (must have read it wrong), the rose gold is very unusual and looks great with the blue face. I'm very happy with the watch-keeps good time and is very stylish.

Breitling A1935012-B774-442A wrist watches news:
Is it weird that I sometimes compare watches with things I know in pop culture? I find it especially gratifying to compare exclusive multi-hundred thousand dollar timepieces with such plebeian pop culture essentials as the Tusken Raider Sand People from the Star Wars universe. Really though, look at the face of this Harry Winston Histoire de Tourbillon No. 1 and tell me that it does not (at least vaguely) remind you of the face of the Sand People (Person?). I see the axis points of the two tourbillon escapements akin to the eyes, and the dial as being similar to the circular Sand Person desert mask mouth. There are also the vertical slits that are present on both the watch and the Tusken Raider¡¯s facial garb. Seems like a pretty good fit to me. If you recall, a while ago I also discussed the best watches for Darth Vader here, and there of course there was the MB&F Horological Machine No. 3 that had a resemblance to 3-CPO. I don¡¯t think it is me, I think the watch makers are doing
So, I'm looking at a 2599.80 and 2201.50. It seems that the markings on both are more orange than red. Looking at the pics here of some of the same pieces, the hand/markings appear red. Is it just the photography?? Should they be orange??Drew
I was reading that Seiko has some larger sized models coming down the pipeline, I couldn't really find anything on their website, does or can anyone confirm this? and will they be making a larger version of the orange monster?
Okay, the JLC is on the way from Texas after my check clears. Now to decide what strap to put it on. I have the Tiffany's black leather, a fine fit and a classy addition that was previously on the vintage Omega Seamaster:There's also the option of picking up this Hadley Roma croc strap from the Watch Prince: thewatchprince/s.nl/it.A/id.249/.f. I've had one or two of these before and they're very comfortable. Most recently a brown one on a Hamilton Bradford that bmmeup now owns:Here's another interesting option from sponsor Times of Plenty - a NOS vintage Gemex suede strap:cgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_2556wt_1167I don't have one of these, and 18 mm is a common vintage size so it would be easy to swap around if it doesn't work on this watch (but I can't imagine it wouldn't look cool).
Hi Guys. Some time back, perhaps in 5/2002, I believe John Holbrook did a review of the quartz Speedway. Is that review still available for reading, and if so, where would I find it? I've posted this question on the Invicta Forum, but thought I might post it here as well. Hope that's ok.Thanks so much. Best, John
