Rado R 217.13.152 wrist watches news:
Took a gamble on this on eBay. The seller on provided 3 blurry photos and didn't answer the questions I posted. But he did accept a very low offer I figured at worst, I recover my costs with the gold, if the case were bent beyond repair. But fortunately, the dial arrived looking very nice and the case, with a bit of buffing looks rather spiffy. The Henslee had a long run from what I understand, so I'm guessing the mid-50s? I see it listed in the 54 catalogue. The watch is 14k gold and the markers are listed as 18k gold. The movement is the trusty 680, adjusted to 4 positions.
Hi all, just got a Seiko SNA695, so far I like it, other than the limited band adjustments, but I can't seem to find a lot of info online about. Anyone have one or had experience with one? Thanks!
Posted this in the Rolex forum, thought it only fitting to post here as well. The Deep Ones,
Hello everyone, What is the correct lume color for a GMT II Ref 116710LN dated for 2016? I just purchased purchased a watch from a seller on this forum and the color to me it looks more greenish rather than blue, though it may just be my eyesight. Here is a picture of the watch in complete darkness after using my phone's light to charge it:
Question about the self-wind on a GMT I recently acquired. I go to wear it and wind it 45-50 strokes. I'll wear it all that day and the next, by morning of the third day 52-55hrs it will have stopped. Should not the self-winding feature replenished sufficient power to have prevented this??? Never had this happen before on any other automatic that I've owned. Comments appreciated.
