- This was a gift for my sister who is always late. She loved it! It is so much prettier than the picture. The little crystal were the perfect size to make it sparkle without being too showy. I bought another for my sister-in-law.

Hi, All!'Was just taking some time to organize my collection database and thought I'd share a few pics of some of my favorite midcentury Hams:1951 "Kevin" (cool moveable lugs)1955 "Halesworth B"1957 "Golden Tempus"1960 "Flight II"Best,Brian
I just had my brand new Bell & Ross serviced due to a loose screw inside the face. When I got it back it was noticeable that the screws holding the crown on had been used, with slight marks from a screwdriver. They are very minor and only barely visible upon close inspection, but they were not there on the brand new watch and those screws had to have been used to assemble the watch initially. Is this normal or expected? Should I just ignore it and accept it as part of the normal wear of the watch? It's just difficult to know how to react since the price of the watch makes me scrutinize every minute detail to the extreme, where any other general retail watch I wouldn't even think twice. Thanks for the help out there!-Jason
Folks,I occasionally like to imagine watches that I wish PP would make, and envision the perfect watch for me. Now, I'm not saying this is it, but the idea popped in my head while considering one of the many threads in which the 5711 is compared to the 5167. So, here it is: What if you took a 5167A case, then fitted with a version of the 5711 blue dial. Then, with the traditional lugs, PP could offer a range of interchangeable (meaning no watch tool required) leather and possibly rubber strap options. Even a ss bracelet for those who were so inclined. Other considerations: should it have Arabic or baton hour markers? Should it have a date window? Thoughts? Just seemed like a fun idea to kick around...
