Audemars Piguet Audemars Piguet 23593 wrist watches news:
Congrats to Shawn H. from Simi Valley California, the winner of the Mark Carson Individual Design Ka La watch that we?gave away on watches-dealer last month. Mark Carson also has a wonderful "Endless Summer" promotion right now that we think is too nice to pass up. For the price of one watch you get three straps, a Hawaiian Koa wood box, and a really nice Koa wood pen made by a local person in Hawaii. Certainly check it out. Also, the?September watches-dealer giveaway is for an automatic March LA.B AM1 watch.
Greetings, all, I've been lurking on this forum for some days, and thought it was high time to join. I'm a fairly new watchmaker, (WOSTEP and CW21 certifications) and my education mostly revolved around high-end Swiss watches. However, as a self-confessed history nut, and an American, I find the allure of vintage American timepieces to be irresistible. I've received the impression that among the American companies of yesteryear, Hamilton was the highest quality, and that of their wristwatch movements, the 770 and 982M were the best. I'm looking for a wristwatch to wear for dress occasions, and, not being able to afford the Patek Philippe or Jaeger that my watchmaking friends salivate over, it strikes me that a vintage Hamilton would be ideal. ;) So, to my question: did Hamilton make a solid gold round watch with either the 770 or 982M movements? Currently, the only one I've come across is the Masterpiece of the late '50s (or so the style appears to me.) I like it, but hoped for somethi
Planning on bidding on this 770. What should be top dollar? I know it's 22 jewels and 770 movement and that it works. ebay/itm/251129316463...ht_1048wt_1397
Just curious, I like the screws better than the pins...any help would be appreciated.
....Had a busy day between client meetings and nonstop communications with Oscar (Bodybump) who was able to amazingly find me a BNIB 5167 on strap(Thank you for the hard work to source the piece, and putting up with me!) Said goodbye to my AP Diver (much love- time to move on-but could come back to the collection someday). A 5167 and DSSD is a fine balance for now.....and should be wearing a 5167 for my flight Thursday night! (if it makes it in time between leaving client site and flying out for the weekend.... ...it's race against time- fingers crossed!!! If not, I'll pick it up on Monday)Will post pictures upon receipt. Finally able to to progressively (Timex, Tag, PAM, Omega, Rolex, Rolex, AP) reach one of my childhood dreams of owning (merely taking care for the next generation ) a Patek. Ecstatic the day has finally come after lots of hard work.... and is just the start towards my current grail, 5726 or the new 5990A. Thank you'll for the enabling pictures (shout out to Puffy on t
