Swatch Group Acquires Harry Winston
The Swatch Group and Harry Winston announced today, January 14th, 2013, that Swiss Swatch Group has acquired the entirety of the Harry Winston jewelry and timepiece division. That is all of Harry Winston except its diamond mining division which was not acquired by Swatch Group (nor sold as far as we know). Back in October Reuters announced that Harry Winston was searching for a buyer for its timepiece and jewelry division. Though popular, it was a widely known fact that Harry Winston was in a money losing position from a business perspective and was rumored to have been seeking a buyer for at least a little while.Now only a few months later, a buyer has emerged. In 1990 I had the pleasure of attending a lecture at Northwestern University given by Sir Edmund Hillary. Fast forward to 2003 and I discovered everything ROLEX, the connection to the Hillary Norgay Everest climb, and the search was on for the illusive Hillary Norgay EXP II ad....many years later and the addition of a NZ Hillary bank note and this is what I created.....What do you think?Now all I need is a white dialed EXP II and it would be pefect

Dwelsa?
Just picked this up on eBay, running across it late at night with no bids on it and 3 minutes left. I think this is going to be the watch where I teach myself to restore a watch case, and if I screw it up, I'm only out 10 bucks.But just in case, does anybody know anything about Dwelsa watches? I have found about 4 Google mentions, and three of them refer to the fact that they don't know anything about this watch. The other says the company is either Swiss or American. That helps a real lot....I love the funky engraving on the case, and it's hinged, which for a WW is new, to me, anyway. The hands are mismatched, but I think the dial will look a little better with a cleanup, but not a re-do. Signings on the movement are not very readable, so I'm waiting for the watch to get here. The above photo is borrowed from the seller.Looking at the movement, there doesn't appear to be a cylindrical escapement, so maybe it's fixable? Seller says it "feels wound tight" and won't run. That sounds bad.

Need help, frustrated with AP strap change
Hi All,I found my ROO deployment buckle very uncomfortable; it pokes my wrist all the time and literally I dont wear my ROO despite the fact I love it. I did a search and realized other people had the same issue. Being said that, I bought couple of rubber straps with tang buckle (not from AP) but now they dont fit the watch and I have no idea why; the pin doesn't go through the holes and gets stuck.Would greatly appreciate any input.
