Panerai PAM 270 wrist watches news:
Conservative sport watch brand Archimede does it again with the new SportTaucher (Sport Taucher) M watch. This diver is a rational man's friend with a sturdy German-made steel case, 300 meters of water resistance and a sapphire crystal. It doesn't aim to excite sot much as it does to simply perform - again, another Teutonic tool. The case is 41.5mm wide, done in a satin finish (very tool-like look) with a matching rotating bezel. The crown is placed at 4 o'clock as is the date dial in effort to preserve the placement of the Arabic numerals located at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. I like the rounded crown guard and feel it adds a softer look to the case. At 12mm thick, the case should feel rather reasonable on the wrist.Archimede will offer the SportTaucher M with two dial colors: Black and blue. The black version has easy to see white hands and hour markers with red trim, the blue model is trimmed in orange and has a bit of a "tropical" feel to it.In addition to the metal bracelet, the watch
RGM makes watches in Lancaster County,? Pennsylvania, which is a hub of American watch making. In fact, the majority of hands-on watch making that occurs in America today is in, or near Pennsylvania. A fact that strikes me as curious given the remote nature of some of these towns, but makes sense if you compare it to fine German and Swiss watch making towns. You'd be surprised to know that most of the independent watch makers in Germany and Switzerland are based in old farmhouses or alike building in tiny rural areas. take the famous Glashutte region, which is basically a one street village. I don't know why this is, but it must mean that watch makers don't like to be bothered. Thus, you'll find a lot of homegrown American watch making in what is essentially Amish country. Go Figure.RGM is a special watch company in America because they produce one of the first American made watch movements to have been developed in a long time. This movement is not in all of their watches, as they mos
Last night I took off my watch at about 9:30pm and when I woke up this morning my watch read 11:45pm. I wore it all day yesterday so I don't understand why this happened, should I be worried? Thanks
Hello all,Has anyone registered their watch with Patek online? How long does it typically take to get your registration details and what benefits are available to registered owners?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hello,I'm a long time lurker and a relatively new member here on TRF! I've made my way over to the Patek Discussion Forum a couple weeks ago and have been wanting a Patek since then . I'm currently in Seoul, South Korea visiting my parents and stumbled across a BNIB 5146 Platinum at a local vintage watch market for around $56,000 USD at today's exchange rates. It seems like a good deal considering the watch's MSRP is $68,700 USD, right? I'm an extreme newb to watches, especially Pateks and would love any advice or opinion you guys could give me. What should I be looking for/asking? I'm not worried about the authenticity of the watch as the dealer is a very established (~30 years) specializing in Pateks. Thanks for your help!
