- I am really enjoying my new cross watch as I am always looking for inexpensive watches that are different. This one was perfect for an occasional watch. The quality is good as far as I know, as I haven't worn it that much yet.

Breitling A 24322 wrist watches news:
Jaeger LeCoultre La Rose watch is unique in that: on the one hand, the artists of gem for the idea of this watch modeling efforts, giving him the eternal natural attitude; elsewhere, the artisans of the eve and the stone setting experts take much skill and extraordinary achievements, so that this masterpiece with emotion inflamed and elegant style perfectly qualified mixture.
It's just too bad there are watches missing and some of the watches listed have the wrong pictures for them !details/story/james-b...eline-pictures
I own a couple of Omega's and next on my list is an IWC.I always considered IWC slightly out of my reach as my upper limit was about 2000GBP (which is what my Planet Ocean LE cost) but I get a healthy bonus at work in the new year and think I'll treat myself.I really liked the look of the Portugese until I actually tried one on and it didn't suit me. I settled on the Aquatimer, it suited me and I really liked the look of it.The model I like the look of is the IW371918 but my AD has a pre-owned IW353803 in for ¡ê1750 which may tempt me as its well within my budget. Is there any model specifically to look for in the Aquatimer range, are all movements the same or are some better than others. Thanks in advance.
This field trip is to see a service start to finish. I have a few vintage watches that need a COA so I took them with me to Sam's shop on 7th & Sansom in Philadelphia. Sam, you're gonna be a star! Here he is at his workbench. I don't know if I'd recognize him anywhere else.We decided on my funky oval Bulova for the guinea pig. I found it NOS but not working so it needed a service and/or new part or two.First, the case back must come off:N9 - 1979....and I thought it was a few years older than that.At this time, the Solvil et Titus movement was Swiss, but now it's in Hong Kong. This particular movement is based on an ETA 2879 quick set day/date caliber. The rotor comes off:The bracelet comes off and the shock jewel is removed:All the parts get separated:The rest of the automatic winding system comes off:so what's left looks like this:Next, the balance & hairspring assembly with the balance bridge comes out:Found the broken part - top is the bad, bottom is the replacement.
I was just curious, which watch do you choose to wear in the rough and tumble world of the blue collar worker?I'm pretty sure your not wearing your Panerai's, Rolex's, Breitlings or Omega's on the job, unless you have alot of guts and alot of money!I'm in construction. I operate and sometimes do maintenance on heavy equipment, everything from cranes to bulldozers, so there is always alot of dirt, dust, grease, grime and alot of ways to scratch my watch so I won't wear my better watches and certainly not any of my vintage pieces, so I wear a Swiss Army Renegade. Quartz of course, and it retails for about $75.00 and I've had it for over ten years now. It has held up most admirably and it has never let me down. So don't be shy, what's your knockaround watch?
