Breitling A2432212/G571 wrist watches news:
Hey all...quick question. A few days ago I went to wear the Sea-Dweller. I hadn't worn it in a few days so I wound it up, and went to set the time and the date. I set the date just fine, but when I pulled the crown out all the way to set the time, the hands wouldn't move. Uh-Oh. I was freaked out. I didn't try to force the issue, being afraid of breaking something, and knowing, obviously, that the hands should move EFFORTLESSLY when you turn the crown. I played with it; put the crown in and wound it a little more, put it all the way back in and took it out...finally the hands moved. My Sea-Dweller is running fine now, but I'm wondering if something is still wrong? Any thoughts? Has this happened to any of you? Incedentally...it's also about 5 seconds fast per day...is it worth sending it in for an adjustment??- Dan -
Morning all!!!...guys, I just nabbed a new Seiko Premier(SPB011)...I think this model is available in the U.S., but not sure...I've never seen or heard of it before...sorry, no pics yet!...but, it has the nicer 6R15 movement(I think), brown dial, Roman numerals, date at the 3 o'clock location, stainless steel case, silver tone numerals and sword hands, saphire crystal & exhibition back, 42mm in diameter and brown leather strap.I think it'll be a nice compliment to the Seiko SPB001J1(6R20 movement) that I already have...I'm pleased with that one, and this SPB011 is dressier, so we'll see...it should be at my door step Monday afternoon/evening...Now if I can just get my Pay Pal account straightened out to so I can get a hold of a green dialed Alpinist!!!Do you guys rate the Seiko 6R15/20 movements in the same category as the ETA movements???
..................hope we are counting down just days until yours arrives ;)
Well, shipped my first "outgoing" of 2010 this morning - the Omega Aqua Terra. It didn't last 6 hours on the sales forum. I think I sold the Rolex DateJust last year on the 14th or 15th of January, so I'm starting this year earlier than last year. ...but don't worry, it completes the war chest for a vintage 18K Omega Seamaster 321 that will be incoming by the beginning of February (I promise). I swore it would be the next watch I bought.
In all of the photos I have seen of Anthony Wiener (above the waist) I have yet to see him wear a watch. Does this mean people who do not wear watches have the proclivity to show the world their....well we all know what Mr. Wiener showed (and what an appropriate name given his deed)? Do these people look at their whatever tech device for the time and then get the urge to take a snapshot of....well we know what he snapped...and then send off their art work?
