- I love this watch, but the paint chips off of the face. I returned my first one and the paint also has chipped off of the second one in only three weeks time.

Breitling B13048 wrist watches news:
Hi,I have a problem with a Seiko watch with a quartz movement, it appears something has broken inside so now when I turn the winder the second hand spins very fast with it, however, the hour and minute hand do not turn at all. Can anyone tell me why this might be?I am not a beginner, so should able to sort it myself if I know the cause of the problem. As far as I'm aware I haven't done anything to it other than remove the winder.Any help would be appreciated.Cheers.
Took a few quick shots of something I scooped up off eBay: a Heuer Autavia Viceroy ref #1163 powered by a caliber 12 microrotor. It's from November of 1971 and apparently only 600 or 700 were made of this version according to a restoration expert. The caliber 12 was the improved version of the caliber 11, which was the very first automatic chronograph to be sold to the public. Breitling, Heuer, and Buren (owned by Hamilton) developed this movement in the late 1960's. They teamed with Dubois-Depraz to form the Chronomatic Group. Movado and Zenith were also competing to manufacture one. They had announced their El Primero earlier, introduced a few prototypes in January of 1969, but were beaten to market by a couple months by the caliber 11. There is still debate over who was the first to release an automatic chronograph, and purists argue that the El Primero is the true winner since it is an integrated movement built from the ground up while the caliber 11 was a module attached to

Hi guys,I'm interested in a vintage piece, probably a Seamaster from the '50's or '60's. Can any of you recommend known sites for definite authenticity? I came across this site in the UK that looks and sounds great - has anyone used it?.vintage-watches-collection/Many thanks
I have an opportunity to purchase a mint used 5712/1A from an Authorized Dealer for 24,900. They sold the watch new in Oct 2016. I had my heart set on a 5711, but I like this one too. Looking on Chrono24 the least expensive used on has an asking price of 29k. Thoughts, advice or concerns before purchase? Thanks.
