I have been searching for the perfect affordable pilot¡¯s watch and have zeroed in on the Hamilton Khaki ETO and am wondering why I haven¡¯t been able to find an opinion or a review since it seems like a great watch for a general aviation pilot like me. I¡¯ve looked closely at the X-Wind, X-Copter, QNE and Tachymiler both in stores and extreme close-up pics on-line and basically come away asking, ¡°Are they serious?¡± The contortions required to perform the cross-wind and angle of drift calculations on the X-Wind are ridiculous. No pilot could hope to perform the necessary steps while in actual flight and hope to keep the aircraft under control. The X-Copter I still haven¡¯t been able to figure out what that does and who needs to calculate ¡°rotation speed¡± which is what the Tachymiler supposedly does? I know I¡¯ve never had to. But the ETO has a simplified E6B slide rule around the circumference for time, speed & distance calculations and a chronometer for timing legs and overall flight-

Hey all,I have taken a hiatus from the collecting portion of my watch passion due to school and now after graduating last week a recent influx of graduation cash has allowed me to buy a time piece or two.Firstly, I just purchased Orient's Bambino watch this evening. I purchased it with the black leather strap, but would like to purchase a brown leather strap for it. I don't know any quality names when it comes to strap brands, so any opinions and direction regarding this would be great. Secondly, I am trying to decide between the Christopher Ward C5 Malvern MKII and the Junkers Bauhaus Automatic for my next purchase. As of right now the Junkers Bauhaus is edging out the C5 by a hair, but that is only because I'm an architecture major and have a great interest and respect for the Bauhaus school and most anything inspired by it. I came here for any notable differences in quality, opinions, and/or personal experiences with either of the watches.It's good to be back!Jon

Anyone had any success with them?I have a 15300 and always struggled a bit with the fitment. Now that I have a couple of other pieces with the glidelock, it has become even more evident. Two links out, its somewhat of a bracelet and slides down to my hand too much and crown dig happens. Three links out and good when my wrist is straight but any movement and it is too tight, leaving an impression on my wrist. So I think the 1.5 link is the answer but curious if anyone here has had any success with them before I order from APNA. Thanks in advance! Photo below for reference, this is with 3 links out. Took one out this morning as with only two, it was sliding around too much.
