- Bought as a gift for my sister. Loved the shell face, and the shape of the face makes reading the numbers less confusing. A bit and fishbowly, though!

Breitling A2736434-G615BKOR wrist watches news:
Just announced is the new watch brand 2LMX with their first watchthe 2LMX. I think a model name will come later. The super cool mechanical timepiece is one of those things that helps me explain to people what I do when they ask "how is it that you write at least once a day on watches?" Because cool stuff like this keeps coming out. The watch is the brainchild of Arnaud Tellier. He is the former head of the Geneva Patek Philippe museum.Interesting that he and his pals went futuristic after he resided over classic and vintage pieces for so long. The 2LMX watch reminds me of the Cabestan Winch Tourbillon Vertical watch (a lot). These watches share concepts including the overall design. They both have vertically mounted tourbillons, they both have split dials, and they both have highly exposed cases and movements. More than a little bit of credit goes to Jean-Francois Ruchonnet for this design. The 2LMX movement uses four drums (two of them have drums within the drums) to indicate time digi
i'm a little torn on the Co-Axial thing.. So far I am not impressed as much as I think I should be, with some problems reported to the early versions introduced i'm still not convinced...The first generation are little more than earlier ETA movements with the addition of the more complicated Escapement..Do you think it is premature for Ω to be dumping the very reliable and proven 1120, 1128, or other time proven lever escapement movements for the new coaxed offerings of theirs.. ??in the end i think Ω wants to be in the same league as Rolex. Will this help bring Ω closer to Rolex, or push it further away...???with a much less brand name recognition and prestige association against Rolex, do you think is good for Ω to get into the Rolex range?this is not to bash or nothing negative, i just want to know your opinion.
Sorry, it's not a watch but these cool Orbita Sparta Winders with guaranteed5 year lithium batteries. I already own 3 Orbita Spartas that are powered viaAC/DC adapter and I could not be happier. I love their patent that simulatesnatural wearing of the watch. As such these winders do not rotate, but swinggently - just like you would wear the watch. AND - they are virtually silent evenwhen one of them was sitting about just 1 foot from my head - on my night stand !This setup works great if you do not have enough space for some large4 or 6 piece winder box, or...as you can see, this is a perfect setup for my built in safe.I had a great experience with the 3 single Sparta winders that were poweredfrom an electric plug. I do not expect anything else from these three 'wireless' - 5 yr. lithiumbatteries powered pieces. I will post a report and evaluation after a few weeks of use.Thank you guys at Orbita for supporting our forum and thank you for offering us such great bargains for these test
I have a tungsten Essence watch; the code on the back of it says EA5040CM, so I assume that's its model. Here is a preview of the watch itself:i31.tinypic/1z9htf.jpgPlease help me identify its model and value.Thank you!
Hi, Folks: Its been a while since I posted and I apologize in advance if what I am about to ask sounds a little odd. Some years back my son bought me a Vietnam vintage watch owing to my toursw there. I kept it for a while and when it went south on me I took it to a watch repair person who opened it to find the innardswere just some goofy replacement. I don't think my son knew about this but I have always had a soft spot for standard sized mechanical watches with the hack feature, and maybe a moveable bezel. I have been all over trying to find such a watch without settling for some el-Cheapo rip-off. I've tried GOOGLE and E-Bay but all I seem to find are look-a-likes. Having said all of that I settled for a TIMEX Expedition, changed out the band and am pretty happy (the bezel is non-funtional)but wish that I could find the same simple watch with a mechanical work, hack function, moving bezel at a much better level of quality.I'm not looking for a collectors piece just a solid daily-wear
