Date Just or TOG?
I am contemplating getting one of these two but can't decide a/ which one I REALLY prefer and b/ If the TOG can justify the huge price difference for nothing more than a WG bezel and a different (but not hugley so) styling.On the SS models DJ - 116200 vs the TOG 116264 the price difference (in the UK) is ?530 (DJ = rrp ?2,790 & TOG ?3,520)This seems an awful lot of difference for a small WG bezel! After all the styling cannot surely greatly affect the cost to produce can it?Am I missing something? Is there more to the TOG than that?Also will the TOG hold / lose value more or less than the DJ?Any pics of these models would be appreciated (DJ - SS - white or silver dial with stick markers and plain "domed" bezel) (TOG - SS model with WG bezel and black or slate grey dial)Thanks.

What would you like to see for the 40th Anniversary of the Moon landing?
It's a safe bet that Omega will commemorate this occasion. What though would you like to see them do to celebrate July 20, 2009?Would you like a display back or would you rather some attractive feature on a solid back or perhaps an enamel illustration against a sapphire back? The mission patch has already been used for the 35th anniversary so this sadly could not be repeated. In fact the last time Omega used a display back for an anniversary of the Moon landing was on the occasion of its' tenth anniversary. Should Bienne embellish the front of the watch perhaps? Should they use hesalite or sapphire for the front?What say you pals?Y'all have a nice day nowZIN

It's raining here, again, as usual, so it seems to be a good day to sit at the puter and create some hate, discontent and turmoil so our highly paid mods can earn their keep. Actually, I would prefer that the homage haters either stay away or hold in their vitreol but I've been here long enough to realize that someone won't be able to control himself. First some caveats:(1) I abhor fakes. When I found that I had a fake Montblanc I took it to the range and used it for target practice. Another good purpose for a gun. (2) I've paid my dues to Rolex, I have 5 of them and my wife has one and we may get more. (3) I've heard the cliches about slave labor. TooDah, here it is ! I paid $13.59 for this including shipping from China. I've had it two days and it is keeping nearly perfect time and working very well in every respect.
