Breitling A1736402/BA32SS wrist watches news:
I have a new Hamilton coming UPS Monday. When I was doing my web search for the model I checked out AD's (sent request or called for price quote) and Grey market dealers. Best price I could find on the watch that had a MSRP of $475 was $325 (fee shipping) from an AD and $292 (free shipping) from a Grey Market dealer. Going with the AD gets you a full two year Hamilton warranty. Going with the Grey market gets you a full one year "dealer" warranty. Just for info, that dealer has stood by their warranty for a Hamilton they sold me in the past. When you consider the free shipping the AD quote was at least 30% off MSRP. I felt that made the watch a good deal and the difference in price from the grey market was only $33. In the end I felt the extra cash was well spent for the full two year warranty and the fact that warranty is supported by the manufacturer. My obvious question is, what do you think?dealer stock photo of watch
Been enjoying this for the past week and a half. Runs at about +3 sec/day.The bracelet clasp is very short - no diver's extension, and only 3 microadjustment holes So thank God for ISOFranes!!!! Conclusion:1. Listed at 46mm, but wears smaller, hugs the wrist, and is very comfortable on the ISO. It is still a heavy watch, and needs a good supporting strap. The lack of half links and microadjustment holes on the clasp made it impossible for me to comfortably wear the bracelet. 2. 120 click bezel is nice and smooth. I like the unique 3-D design.3. Springbars are heavy duty like Seiko's.4. Hackable and windable movement is sweet. The power reserve meter climbs quickly during hand winding.5. Lume is somewhere between Seiko 007 and Monster level. Lasts all night.
This isn't an Invicta bashing thread. But the brand often causes me to think about things, which hurts my head.Invicta sells about 1.5 million watches a year. Rolex about 1 million, Omega slightly less. And then there's Seiko, which sells a huge number of watches though I don't have production figures. Now it seems to me - without hard data - Invicta generates far more complaints on its pieces than do other mass produced name brands. So my question is: Is this due to a higher failure/defect rate or is it merely that there are more Invicta fans than, say, Rolex or Oris etc. backers on the watch forums? Or are Rolex buyers, for example, less likely to be "WIS" (ie most are consumers as opposed to horologists) or less likely to have the time or inclination to post on the Web?Any thoughts, gents?
I really want an originally sized Royal Oak (read not 41mm), but the 15202 is out of the question due to price. Therefore my next step, is naturally to look to a 15300. Now I was initially leaning to either a blue or black dial in any Royal Oak model, but that DAMN contrasting date ring on the 15300 just makes me want to pop a vein and start murdering people! Please tell me I'm not the only one!?P.S. I have come to a realisation that I do actually like the white dial a whole lot more than I initially thought
Hi guys,Just wondering if it's possible to change the rubber straps on my AP Diver to leather. Any and all advice would be much appreciated!
