This past weekend, Vacheron Constantin sponsored The New York Observer’s Power 100 party, which recognizes the 100 most influential players in New York City’s real estate industry. The event was held at the 21 Club in midtown Manhattan. Among the hundreds of attendees were Mayor Michael Bloomberg (who dropped from No. 4 in 2009 to No. 9 this year), as well as The Related Companies L.P. CEO Stephen Ross (No. 1 on the list), state Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, David Levinson of L&L Holding Co. (and the NY Yankees), and legal legend Jonathan Mechanic, chairman of Fried Frank’s real estate department. Hi guysI recently bought my first Hamilton watch, a Khaki Air Race GMT. I know this might sound like a stupid question but I am having trouble trying to read off the GMT scale on the watch. How should I set a GMT watch?
my girlfriend gave me this polaroid picture, and I snapped a pic of that pic with the watch I was wearing that day
I have this vintage Chronomat reference 818 with a manual winding Venus movement as my only Breitling in my collection and I must say it is probably my favorite watch and certainly gets noticed the most. Probably due to the 48mm case and the dial ain't bad either
Hey all,I feel like it has been forever since I posted. I have a quick question about traveling internationally with my Omega Seamaster. In a month, I will be leaving for Europe and will be traveling through different countries. Did any of you have any trouble with airport customs when it came to going through the customs at the airport with your watch on. I've heard that 1. if they find a high end watch such as Omega, that they will check the watch for authenticity and either assess a custom duty fee or confiscate it if they believe it is counterfeit. Now, I'm not worried about the counterfeit piece, as I can back up the fact that it is authentic, but I am a bit concerned about customs duty fees. When I go through customs I will be wearing the watch. What are your guys' experiences with customs. The first part of my journey will be in Munich, Germany. Thanks!
