Hublot Chosen as Swiss Watch Partner for World Expo 2012
Hublot has announced that it has been selected by Presence Switzerland in the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) to be the watch partner of the Swiss Pavilion at the World Expo 2012, which will take place over 3 months, between 12th May and 12th August 2012, in the South Korean coastal city of Yeosu. Having already partnered in the “Sommet de la Francophonie” French language summit in Montreux 2010, the FDFA and Hublot are continuing their collaboration, this time to help promote Switzerland on an international scale.“It is an immense privilege to work with the Confederation to promote Switzerland to the entire world,” said Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot. “It is the greatest of honors and I would like to recognize and pay tribute to the teams who are working in Bern every day to spread the values of our country. Their work is incredible and highly worthwhile, and I promise that Hublot will once again live up to their ambitions.”

That is why it was called the "big seconds," because that dial was larger than the dial for the hour and minutes. In this case, to insert the tourbillon (which doubles as the seconds indicator), they used the smaller dial for the seconds. The watch is still called "Grande Seconde," but no longer is. Has anyone seen any shift, up or down, in pre-owned Rolex prices? I have been curious about the market given the economy, and the sites I have seen, have all relatively stayed the same. Given the economic crisis, I would have expected them to drop. Anyone seeing anything different?
