x-wind repair question
Hey all, need some guidance. I have a Hamilton x-wind that I've had for about 2.5 years. one of the second hands on the top timers fell off and caused all sorts of damage within the chronometer. I took it to the Swiss Watch Repair ctr here in NYC (as authorized on the Hammy website) and the damage is so bad they have to send it off to get an estimate to be repaired. So my question is this. Am I going to have to eat the repair cost? The watch isn't that old and has never, and I mean never been dropped or abused. Any advice on what this may end up costing or how better to proceed?Thanks.

I really want a PP 5085 with a white dial. I just can��t find one anywhere.So, I am considering changing the dial from black to white after I buy one.I have no idea where to start. Is it possible? Is it sensible? Is it costly? Should I just keep looking? Should I learn to like the black dial?Any help or suggestions would be gratefully received.TIA

Hi all,Hope everyone had a lovely holiday!I'm JUST ABOUT to pull the trigger on a PAM557,but can't find any comparison shots with a Rolex DSSD for size. Considering the PAM372 is so comparable to the PAM557, I was wondering if anyone had some side by side shots with the DSSD they could share to push me over the edge (or save me from making a mistake) ??Thanks much,Andrew
