If a Submariner has serial number of around 4.4 million (1975-6) does it have to be a particular model or was there more than one date model available at that time. If there was more than one date model what were those model numbers?.reards Theo
Hi everybody!!!A note to let you know I just completed a huge update to the Scott Carpenter Rolex Story.I added a podcast I recently recorded with NASA Mercury Astronaut, Scott Carpenter. Scott was also a U.S. Navy Aquanaut and Rolex originally designed the SEA-DWELLER for his SEA-LAB program.I hope you enjoy. Here is the direct link to the story:rolexblog.blogspot/2008/0...-aquanaut.htmlor you can find it today at the top of the blog by visiting:RolexWatchBlogI hope you enjoy!!!Warmest regards,JakeP.S. The attached photo is of Scott Carpenter wearing his Submariner during SEA-LAB II in 1965.
Hey guys ! ! !I have had this watch case for quite some time now, about a year or so I think.Over the weekend I saw it sitting in a bin on my bench while looking for something else. When I bought this watch it did NOT have a movement, dial, hands or strap.................it was just the watch case itself. The reason I bought this case is because it has a very detailed inscription on the back side.Me, Adam & Greg LOVE to track these guys down if we can in order to find out who they where and what they did during the Great War.More often that not there will at least be a FULL NAME on the case back and possibly a year or a home town. This watch had NONE of the above making it INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT to piece together the puzzle. This watch inscription only had some initials of the former owner "C B", these are almost impossible to solve ! ! ! !Here is exactly what the inscription reads:" C B "M. G. Co5th RegCo.L InfWell, after an EXHAUSTIVE search I was able to piece together this puzzle.CB:

I'm new to this game.. Was offered this 116500 today via email. It's amazing when one looks how much different it is. Helpful to me as I've only viewed them in a showcase for the most part. Maybe a few other beginners like to see the differences.
