Breitling A25362 wrist watches news:
Romain Jerome (RJ) isn't beating around the bush with this one. They call it what it is. This is the new RJ Steampunk - and is a follow-up timepieces to the limited edition Romain Jerome Titanic-DNA Tourbillon Steampunk (hold on, let me take a breath) A la Grande watch from a few years ago. There are some differences in style, but the main change (aside from the dial design) is the lack of "Titanic DNA" part of the name and this time RJ uses a movement without a tourbillon -which will certainly help with affordability. The Steampunk is large at 50mm wide and the bezel is oxidized metal (going with the Titanic DNA theme). The "X" motif of the bezel claws are continued with screws that go deep into the dial. These screws are also meant to resemble steam engine pistons. The large Roman numeral hour markers for 12 and 6 are large and purposes done in a scratched-up texture. We have seen these hands before - and they are meant to evoke the Titanic's anchor. It is pretty neat and still feels
Hello, I'm new to the watch forum. I didn't even know there was a watch forum, but I stumbled across it, and now, I need some help !I've got a Stainless, Submariner Date (168000), that is in dire need of some tender loving care. My watch was purchased back in Nov 1987, and since that time, has been back to Rolex 3 times, for service, all in the late 80's, or early 90's, and all for an adjustment to the date (wasn't centered in the window), and the time was running slow. At that time, I personally delivered my watch, to Rolex Watches USA, Inc. in New York, two times, and mailed it to them once. While in their hands, they put a terrible scratch on the case, and when notified, didn't seem to care. Needless to say, I am reluctant to send it back to the NY facility, again. Is the best bet, for a complete restoration, to go back to one of the Rolex Authorized Service Centers (New York or Dallas), or somewhere else ?I'm not a big collector. I just want my Sub, brought back to life, and
Several of the Richemont brands have released some EXCELLENT iPhone Apps in the last few weeks....JLC, IWC, and Lange. Breitling also has an iPhone app, and was first on the scene with one. I pinged Rolex USA to find out if they had one coming, and unfortunately, this isn't on their radar. Fortunately, we have the excellent Mondani produced iPhone App satisfy us for the interim.
hello all. So i was recently looking in a department store at a Tissot v 8. Regular price was $425 but they had a sale running and it would have made it like $345 after tax. i told her i would think about it and she took my name and number and said if she didnt see me by the last day of the sale she would call me and see if i was still interested. While sitting home later that night i was on Amazon and they had it for $265 with free shipping, sold by Amazon and not a 3rd party. Well at that price i couldnt say no, and bought it. So today i called the store i was in and spoke to the woman and said i was no longer interested. she asked why and i told her. She said she hopes it works out for me since all of amazon's watches are refurbished and thats why their prices are so low. Refurbished??? can anyone tell me if this is true??? it doesnt state that the watch is refurbished, and i would think that is important.
The debate is finally over! I had debated for a long time on adding a Aquanaut 5167 to my collection which already included a blue dialed Nautilus 5711. I was worried that the watches were too similar and I wasn't sure how that would impact the wrist time of the two pieces. Making the decision even more difficult was the fact that I couldn't find an Aquanaut anywhere to actually try on so I could actually compare it to the 5711. I saw one in NYC recently but as expected it was in the Patek box and I could only admire it thru the plastic window. Anyway...decided to pull the trigger and I couldn't be more happy! What a comfortable watch. IMHO it does have a lot of similarities to the 5711 but the rubber strap really does give it a completely different feel. I wouldn't be a watch addict without noting that I always thought I would pick up the 5167 and then possibly upgrade to a 5164 later on. I still think that could happen BUT it probably will take me longer to make that move si
