Hey all.My interest in watches has been recently re-ignited since a doctor I work with showed me his new Hamilton, (it's a Khaki from what I can gather.) Pretty impressive quality and great style.I haven't worn a watch regularly for upwards of 10 years, so I shopped around a bit and settled on this for the time being:Amazon: Skagen Men's 809XLTTM Carbon Fiber Dial Titanium Watch: Skagen: WatchesBring the hate or the "plebian" remarks, since I know it's probably not up to par with more refined tastes, but I wanted to get something decent to just get me started on the idea of even wearing a watch regularly again. Tried this one on at a department store and was impressed by the comfort, styling, and thin case. And you can't beat Amazon's 50%+ discount off retail. No brainer.I aspire to own a Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic in the future. I may end up putting on my wedding gift registry later on instead of buying it myself. ;) I don't think I'm going to get into watch collecting, but I do a
I have become interested in acquiring one of the new Omega 50th anniversary Speedmasters. The Omega site isn't too helpful, and I've seen these watches advertised with a transparent case back as well as some with a solid case back. I've also seen a couple of different crystal materials as well as the two different movements listed. Several sites show the traditional 1861 movement while other sites list the new co-axial movement. Are there really this many variations of this limited edition model?I prefer the 1861 manual movement with a solid case back and a sapphire crystal. Is this variety available?
Quick question, I don't see a way to take the OEM deployment clasp off the OEM strap on my Pam 048 and putting it on my next strap. Any way around it? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
