The iconic Movado Museum watch finally gets a design overhaul that actually makes it a good watch. Movado can call it what they want, but this new watch is a pure evolution on the design that put Movado on the map for mainstream watch buyers. A fun little project I just finished putting together!
I picked up this minerva set of chronograph movement, dial, hands, crown and stem a while back with the thought of making this come to life.I had this nice little burl wood lathed box made and some brass finishings, along with a long tube for activating the chronograph since this would be a difficult task given the distance between crown and movement. I also had the stem elongated for this reason.Here is how it turned out along with a rough step by step

Royal Oak offshore all year round watch?
I own the 44 mm Royal Oak Offshore in rose gold. Now that's its fall and getting cooler I find myself wondering if, due to the rubber strap, this is not more of a summer/vacation watch rather than an all year around watch? What's the general consensus on this? Can the Offshores be worn through the winter? Maybe I'm overthinking this...but I'm fairly particular about these things...
