I will begin this detailed article with a wholly unsurprising admission. I love Rolex. I own more of them than any other watch from any other manufacture, and I have always believed its contribution to watchmaking is beyond measure. But, I have another admission. Of the handful of Rolex watches I own, the youngest dates to 1976 – making it, in fact, older than I am. That the steel & gold Yachtmaster has the exact same weight as a platinum Yachtmaster? Despite the fact that the steel & gold has hollow gold center links where the steel & platinum version has solid center links. Hello guys, I'm new to this forum and I am in need of your help. I have been trying to find the oem vintage strap that comes with the PAM510 but I have not been able to find it anywhere. I tried looking online at Panerai's website and I did not see it there neither, not sure if they stop making them. I'm hoping that someone in here can help me and provide me with a part number or let me know where I could get one of this straps.

Short version. Rolex only guy for many, many years. Discovered Panerai. Started with the 88 then sold it for the 422. Could not get the Rolex GMT2C out of my head though so picked one up BNIB last week as a second watch and have been wearing it since while my 422 sits in a drawer. The GMT2C is beautiful to be sure, love the bezel and the polished links, but I get this feeling that it just lacks something the 422 has in terms of making me smile when I look at it. For one, it now seems smaller than it really is. Second, I think that Panerai are so different and so unique that there is just something special about them. Hard to put into words, really. A presence, I suppose, at the risk of sounding too dramatic.Slapping on the 422 tonight (after bringing it back to life) and will use the GMT2C for golf, fishing, swimming, beach, and hot humid outdoors activities as well as to change things up a bit from time to time.
