Piaget G0A34001 wrist watches news:
This year is the 60th anniversary of Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms dive watch. To celebrate, Blancpain released the new Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe, a tribute to one of the best-known Fifty Fathoms from the late 1950s. The watch takes some design inspiration from the original while still being a thoroughly modern watch, and we had to take a closer look for ourselves. A week on the Cote d'Azure, where French Marine Nationale divers originally used the Fifty Fathoms, was the perfect excuse to spend some time with the new Bathyscaphe and here are my thoughts. 1 OF 47 The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe History of Fifty Fathoms The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms was the original modern dive watch. Yes, you read that correctly. While many people would instinctively give this title to the more well-known Rolex Submariner, the Fifty Fathoms actually debuted a number of innovations a year before the Submariner. While the first commerical Fifty Fathoms was released in 1
I tried to think of which of Rolex's line best represents the company. The Submariner comes to mind because really thats the most represented (or most worned) that I see daily. It could just be who I see though.lolBut I think it could be a toss up with the Daytona. It does seem to be the most desirable but does it represent what most feel is a Rolex?I wont be able to argue with those who may think the Datejust or some other "Dress" watch may be the leader but I my vote goes to a "tool" watch.
(images by Antiquorum)Not counting Patek Museum or any watch shows, what was the most exotic or complicated Patek you ever had a chance to handle and play with? For me it was these two beauties - 5013 last year and 5016 just last month.I know that 5016 has the tourbillon, but I actually prefer 5013 because of its shape and self-winding caliber.(......any advice on what the numbers for PowerBall will be this weekend? ;)

My vintage Breitling Datora, Back from a restore by Craig Bergsma at chronodeco. and a new Hadly Roma band. This watch was made in the 60's and you don't see many of them. It was a basket case that I bought on Ebay.I really couldn't be more pleasedAll the best,Andy
