Cartier w6920009 wrist watches news:
Over the past few months we here at worn&wound have featured a number of watch brand hopefuls who were using some form of crowdfunding in an effort to get themselves off the ground. This format for funding a project has exploded in the past couple of years and it is a great fit for watches projects. They target the audience that wants the product and if there is enough response, it gets made. Hopefully. Time to look back and see how the projects we have featured here have faired.Rossling & Co. – KickstarterThe idea behind Rossling & Co. was that of a simple, slim dress watch with an affordable price and a versatile design. The project was looking for a reasonable pledge range from $119 to $139 which would provide the contributor with one watch and strap. The company’s funding goal was $19,200 and they were able to successfully blow that number out of the water with an ending total of $170,002 from 1,280 backers. Definitely a job well done. Starting my day with the omega James Bond seamaster
Saw this on a the back of a local mall magazine and snapped a pic, OMG, Hot !!20141028_115027_resized.jpgPlus, the link:.omegawatches/planet-o...master-coaxial
Soo just this week I acquired a late 60s pre-moon speedmaster in fairly good shape that I have fallen in love with. While walking around downtown this week I stopped to check the time on my watch and much to my dismay the top (start / stop) pusher on the speedy was gone. I looked around but could not find it anywhere.I've checked online and see that I can source the part for fairly cheap (its a 145.022) from ofrei. However, I am afraid I might need other parts or tools to install it (new tube? spring?, etc?). I called some Omega dealers and they suggested it would have to go to Omega / Swatch for a service which will likely run me $800. The watch is not running at factory standars (its losing/gaining 9 seconds a day) so Omega would require me to take a full service.Any thoughts on what options I might have? The watch has not been serviced since 1999 so it is due (though its still keeping decent time). Should I take the plunge and get the full service or is there a band-aid solution tha
New member, first post!! Thought i would start by doing something good and something most rather everyone in the forum would find hard to believe.. although i cant be 100% sure, i am more than confident that the prices of new Rolex watches in India are right now the CHEAPEST IN THE WORLD!!! The initial lower prices overall, poor currency exchange rates, good discounts to be had from ADs were always there.. This deal has just been made sweeter by government reducing the taxes to 18% from 28%, bringing the prices down a further 8%..If anyone has plans to visit India sometime sooner or would like to know at what prices they can get the watches here, I shall be more than happy to assist..Hope my first post becomes of use to fellow TRF members.. cheers..
