A. Lange & Sohne Grande Lange 1 Luminous Watch
It is the heat of the night, and you are having an expensive watch wearing worthy good time. You go to look are your luxury timepiece in the dim lighting on the patio of that bar you like, and low and behold those lustrous gold holds show no luster in the dark. Time to rethink your evening timepiece selection, or you could instead seek out the relatively few high-luxury watches with luminant applied to them. While not a big deal for a Seiko, a lume covered German A. Lange & Sohne is a rarity. Here is their newest one, called the Grande Lange 1 Luminous. Larger Grande Lange 1 case (as opposed to the smaller standard Lange 1). Black dial, and just the right shade of retro green for the richly applied lume that makes up the hour markers and is all over the hands. A cool sporty Lange watch. Been looking at some Oris watches while on holiday
And man, there are some fantastic models out there right now!! I can write about watches until I'm blue in the face (or fingers) but nothing comes close to actually seeing them up close and trying them on - the old 'wrist test'.During my brief watch shopping (well, it was actually quite a few hours, but as with most things, time flies when your having fun) I got to see a lot of the Oris model range, and tried on a couple.Unfortunately, no one seems to have any Team Hunters left, they're all sold, at least where I was looking anyway .But I did get an opportunity to look at, and try on, the amazing RAID Limited Edition chronograph.I know it's an old cliche, but words hardly describe how great this watch looks and feels on the wrist. Perfect size, quality, and fit. I could have easily walked out of the store with it on my wrist, but the price was out of my range for this shopping trip, so back in the display case it went. Sadly, the store does not take kidneys as payment .They also had on

Like the title of my post says, what's the best and safest way to purchase a pre-owned upscale watch? Say if I'm looking for a slightly used Rolex, Breitling etc how do I make sure that the watch is original? I found online version of upscale watch stores such as Tourneau which offer, supposedly, serviced, certified and warrantied used upscale watches but then the price is also pretty high. For example they're offering used Rolex Explorer II 40mm for about $5,500. How to balance the price and the guarantee that the watch is original? Thanks all..
