Breitling Breitling 37269 wrist watches news:
Hey All,I'm quite the watch lover, and saw my first ventura when I was only 13 (about 8 years ago). Ever since then I've wanted to buy one, but lacked the capital to do so. I'm looking into buying one as a present for myself for Christmas, and was considering the current Chrono ventura. I did not know about the skeleton dial 50th until very recently, and when I saw it I immediately fell in love. There is currently one of the limited editions on eBay, but I lack the know how of what to do in terms of due diligence to verify the authenticity of the watch. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I post the link to eBay, in the hopes no one here has been looking for it for very long :P Hamilton Ventura 1957 Limited Edition Automatic - eBay (item 220709201304 end time Dec-19-10 17:40:57 PST).Thank you!
what would you do differently? I've seen variations of the same watches I own and got to thinking how would my choices be different if I could start all over. I've wondered if would I enjoy my sport watches more if these changes were made:IWC Spitfire: silver dial instead of blackBreitling Chrono Cockpit: black dial instead of ivory MOPOmega Aqua Terra: white dial with blue hands/indices instead of blue dial with ss hands/indicesAs you can see, there's no model I'm disappointed in, but I wonder about a color change. There would even be the same basic colors, just in different configurations on different watches. With vintage, would I still have so many Bulovas? I know I still would like manual wind dress watches, but now I'm varying the brands I'm interested in. So how about you? What would change if you knew then what you know now?
I was doing some search to get smarter on the subject of Patina and stumbled with this article that I found interesting/informative...The Prodigal Guide ? Patina is not the Holy Grail of vintage watch buying
i haven't seen any mention of the hour vision around here...i just love the watch..it has too many things good about it that appeal to me:-the design and sapphire construction is bold, new, very pleasing and refreshing.-the movement calibres 8500/8501 were especially designed from scratch and put in this watch.-the blue seconds hand just takes my breath away.in all it is my dream dress watch....any one please has any pics of their own hour vision watches, wrist shots or anything, please share.I am sharing just some googled pics......p.s.i love the stainless steel version with leather strap but i am sure the others look lovely too..leather and silver rather than gold and bracelet is just my taste :)
