Watch lovers each have "holy grail" watches. These are prized pieces that are rare and desirable to the watch lover. They are sometimes new watches, old watches, expensive watches, or just plain rare watches. Here is an interesting one from Eterna, in the best condition I have ever seen. This is the Eterna Super KonTiki, which is a diver's watch at heart. Eterna is a laudable brand that just made a reappearance in the US after not being officially sold in the US for some time. What was the last watch you wore before you decided to get a "real" or "serious" watch? Did you gradually go up the ladder or did you just jump right in to the higher end watches?When I was young (a kid through teens and early twenties) I wore a Timex and then a Swatch or three and then a Fossil or two and then when I was 29 I decided it was time for a decent watch. I started to make a little money and a plastic watch didn't cut it anymore. I hadn't spent more than $35 on a watch in my life so spending $500 for a TAG was a major event for me. It took me a few weeks to work up the courage to pull the trigger. I remember going into a couple of different AD's with my future wife and being nervous and then finally doing the deed. It was a fairly traumatic event for me at the time and a lot of money to spend at one time on one watch.That was fifteen years ago and it turned out to be a great watch and I never had any regrets.

Another Wife Incoming Thread.
So after much deliberation and what not I went out and bought wifey a watch she loves. She has a 26mm DJ and wanted something a bit bigger. Do you think I overdid it? She always says you can't go wrong with diamonds I didn't remember to take a photo of it until after the wonderful woman at the AD wrapped it up so here's the photo from my weeks of browsing around. So lucky to have an amazing AD that wrapped it all nice and after that I explained that I was going to put it in another bigger box and wrap that one to throw wifey off the scent. After all the rolex green wrapping paper and fantastic ribbons would have given it away. Without missing a beat she went off into the back and got bubble wrap and a bigger box! I said no it's okay it'll look too good if you wrap it again it has to look like I did it so she laughed and said ok I'll do it the way my husband would So awesome I can't wait until Christmas I don't even care what my wife got me I just want to see her face
