Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Dive Watches
A few months ago while with Maurice Lacroix at their manufacture I spent time with them going over small details on the prototype versions of these new Pontos S dive watches. We looked at little things like the polishes on the rings around subsidiary chronograph dials, colors, strap choices and other details on the dials. Going from idea, to computer design, to final product is challenging and requires a very close attention to even the little things. What I can say is that the best watch brands have product leads people who are both smart and highly independent when it comes to asserting changes to even small visual elements.While I have yet to see the final versions, I like how the Pontos S fits in the Maurice Lacroix product line-up. Hi. Identification & Information German Pocketwatch
I have a pocketwatch that was in my grandfathers watch shop when he passed away and I have been trying to learn more about it. I have been told the maker was Robert Hessel in Erfurt Germany. I have not been able to find any information on this person or any other samples of his work if this is true. This name and city is engraved inside the back cover of the watch. I assumed this was the owner...but someone said this is the watch maker. There are several other marks some I know are silver marks and proof marks. I'f I'm in the wrong place - please just point me in the right place?There is a blemish on the face next to the number "2" and I assumed this is why my grandfather had it to repair. But...nobody ever came back for the watch. We waited well over 6 months and then my father had the items for YEARS longer and instruction to his neighbors where to send people to collect their time pieces. After battery change
I recently had a battery replaced in two chronograph watches and neither of them are working except for the chronograph. The second hand won't run. Do you have to re-set them somehow? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Susie

I have reserved one of each, but since I already have a FOIS when the time comes I will only buy one, if any. I had thought about just passing on them, but looking at the prices for the Apollo 13 45th anniversary snoopy edition... I wonder if it might be wise to buy them and flip them BNIB?The snoopy edition I've seen offered for almost triple the MSRP, so there might be an opportunity here to put some cash in the watch fund.
